Currently serving as the Head of Devolved Nations and South West of England at the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), Iain brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.

Throughout his career, Iain has cultivated extensive experience working with contractors, stakeholders in the built environment, and various governmental bodies across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. His contributions extend beyond mere engagement, as he has actively collaborated with government partners to organize and facilitate industry forums within the Devolved Nations.

One of Iain's notable achievements includes the establishment of annual social events, such as the highly successful BESA Scotland Golf Day, which regularly draws over 80 members from the industry. Prior to his current role at BESA, Iain held prominent positions including Director of Operations and Head of Apprenticeship Systems UK at the Federation for Industry Sector Skills & Standards. In these capacities, he played a pivotal role in shaping apprenticeship systems and operational strategies at a national level.

In his most recent directorship at BSE Skills, Iain spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives as the first UK trade body lead organisation responsible for National Occupational Standards.
