I started at BSRIA over 25 years ago with research and commercial projects, mainly energy and sustainability/environmental orientated. The research focused on energy efficiency and new methods/technologies, i.e. efficiency of air conditioning systems and fuel cells and included facilities management as well as design and condition surveys of plant and infrastructure. After a brief detour into building surveying, which included introducing surveyors to building services, I have for the past 17 years developed teams and services to provide the sustainability and compliance to engineering projects, including more recently the decarbonisation of heat and associated funding and developing organisation’s routes to net zero carbon.BSRIA
