Designing Biomass and Heat Pump Systems
I have over 20 years’ experience in the plumbing & heating industry, during which time I have gained experience in many areas of the heating industry from design and installation of small scale domestic installations to large commercial/industrial systems.
I began my apprenticeship in 1992 with SGB Plumbing services and worked for the company until 2000, during this time I was mainly working within the domestic sector.
In 2000 I set up my own plumbing & heating company and became involved in the design and installation of much bigger commercial/industrial installations.
It was after relocating to Spain in 2006 I gained my first experience within the renewable sector, gaining invaluable experience working alongside German developers/contractors installing ground and air source heat pumps to properties they were constructing in southern Spain. During this period I also started to install solar thermal and solar PV systems.
Since 2011 after returning to the UK I have stayed working within the renewable sector both as a design consultant designing biomass/ heat pump systems and also working for NAPIT as a MCS and CPS assessor.
